Ryan and Amy

We are not sure what your story is or what led you here, but we want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family and consider choosing us, should you decide to make the difficult decision to place your child for adoption. We want to get to know you and love you, and want this child to know and love you as well.
We have felt led down this path for a variety of reasons. Adoptions is a part of our story (Ryan was adopted from Korea and Amy has siblings, nieces, and a nephew who are all adopted). We have much love to give and will provide a stable, loving, Christ centered home.
We are praying for you in this journey - may you have wisdom, peace, courage and perseverance.
The Story of Us

After many years for singleness, October 2015 is when we met through online dating. We found that we had a lot in common as we both had a love of international travel, shared faith and empathetic hearts. Long story short, we were married in 2017 surrounded by our family and friends and now live in an urban area with our two daughters.
Ryan is truly my best friend and God's gift to me. He has a deep an hearty laugh, soft heart, is a gifted writer and speaker and loves telling stories. He is a truly hands on Dad with our Daughters and has a witty sense of humor. He runs a residential painting business with a friend which has helped him grow in skill and confidence. He loves having deep, one-on-one conversations and one of our favorite activities together is having late night chats about dreams and hopes for the future, or funny things our girls did that day.
Ryan enjoys being out in nature, long road trips and last minute adventures. He relaxes by playing piano, but has never taken lessons and makes "spontaneous" beautiful music. He likes playing board games, sitting around a fire and vacuuming(which I find super helpful).
He is not perfect, but his humble heart helps him be teachable and open minded. We've walked through hardship together and grown closer because of it.
~ Amy
Amy is my wife and best friend. Her faithful love for me has created a safe home for me to grow as a man in love and strength to live well. She is a faithful friend and connector and has an "others" focused mind that is compassionate and kind. Her loyalty to our family is expressed in the way she looks after our family. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and grew her own photography business.
Her hobbies and interests include thrifting and always looking for a deal, making sure she gets all of her steps in for the day, growing a small garden, watching documentaries, staying up late and trying to think up her next potential side hustle.
I love watching her as a mom and I am incredibly grateful knowing that she is the one who gets to pour into and influence my girls lives. The world will be a much kinder and loving place if there were more people like her.

A Little About Our Family...

Stella is our first born daughter and the first biological relative Ryan has ever met. She mirrors so much of Amy as she is a very sensitive, tenderhearted soul. She is incredibly imaginative and artistic and loves being a big sister. She naturally gravitates towards small children and babies.
Irene is named after two other women that were impactful in Ryan's life. Serendipitously, Amy wanted our second child's name to mean, peace and that is what the name Irene means. She has an infectious laugh and smile and loves to play outside. She is very encouraging and expressive with her words, but is more shy and quiet in public.
We love spending time together as a family, whether we are visiting new places, getting into nature, swimming,, biking, reading, spending time with family, or just hanging out at home.

Many Blessings
Our family is ready to receive a child to love as our own. We desire an open adoption if possible and want to teach our child about their family roots and culture. We are thankful for the diversity we already have in our family and community and hope that will help our child to have a sense of belonging. Most of all we want our child to know how loved they are and that God has a great purpose for their life!
Our girls understand our plan for adoption and they are eager to welcome a little brother or sister.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family and desire to adopt. We ask God to show you today how great HIS love is for you!

We would love to get to know you. Please contact SOFA to take the next step.
