Hi, I'm Dalen
I love being out in nature, like going on a walk. It is peaceful to me and gives me time to clear my head and to relax. I love working on projects around our house, whether it is landscaping or replacing the floor. I love the feeling of accomplishing a project. I enjoy doing more studying and training for the fire department I am on. I like learning new things and being able to help out the community I live in. I enjoy getting together with family and/or friends, and being able to connect and have a good time with them. I am on the road a lot for work to meet with customers, and I love being able to get to know them and provide a service to them. Also my job allows me to stop by home throughout the day, which is awesome because I can spend more time with Kaila and the baby. I love traveling, because it teaches you about new cultures and ways of life.
Favorite vacation spot: Puerto Rico, or anywhere else tropical.
Favorite color is blue.
Favorite food: hard to decide, because I am a foodie! Any Hispanic food though would be my top pick.
Favorite animal: dogs, I absolutely love them.
Hobby is disc golfing or hiking.
Favorite holiday: Christmas, because it means being with family I usually don't see other times.
I love Dalen because of his sense of humor, how he cares about connecting with me and others, his caring heart, his laid back nature, and how he loves me even when I make no matter what! He is hardworking, loves nature, how selfless he is and his ability to go with the flow of life, even when things don't go his way! He makes sure we have what we need and I love his ability to listen and understand. ~ Kaila
Hello, I'm Kaila
I love keeping keeping a clean house and find it fulfilling to keep it tidy! I enjoy spending time outdoors, and I've found that when I'm stressed, just sitting outside for a few minutes listening to the birds in our surrounding woods always seems to help! I have chickens and gathering the eggs is something I look forward to every day! My plan is to get a donkey and a couple of sheep someday too! I enjoy doing crafty things, like making my own beeswax candles and watercolor painting and I find things to be more enjoyable and satisfying if I've gone through the process of making them! I love cooking us simple healthy meals each night, and making sourdough bread for us each week. In the summer, I love cooking outside! For the past few years, I've been working at a couple different coffee shops and even though that is not always going to be something I do, I always love connecting with the people. The people and the coffee are my favorite parts of being a barista! I love gardening in the summer, spending time outdoors, and freezing vegetables to enjoy in the wintertime. Carrots are my favorite! Every night I read before I go to sleep and my favorite books are old books, I think things just seem to be simpler in the past. I love having something freshly baked when Dalen gets home from work, so we can make coffee and talk about our day. Also, I love having coffee with friends so we can catch up and connect.

Favorite animal: I really love animals, but I especially love donkeys and chipmunks
Favorite hobby: baking, reading, playing with my nieces and nephews, working-out, camping, antiquing, and organizing.

I love Kaila because of her empathy towards others and her abilities for connection to forgiveness. She is an awesome homemaker and loves of animals. She has a carefree and positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor. Kaila is an amazing cook and family is very important to her. ~ Dalen
A Little More About Us
We live in the same small town area where Dalen grew up! We love how connected the local community is and we love that we keep up with our neighbors. We have a local park and a walking and biking trail right in our town along with two ice cream shops!
We are Christians and are part of a Mennonite church! Faith is the most important part of our life! We look forward to meeting on Sundays and they have been such a support to us through our lives, and we have many friends there!
Our families live nearby and we get together with them often. Holidays are wonderful and we alternate holidays with our families so we can see everyone. We love spending time with our nieces and nephews making blanket forts and playing outside.
We love traveling, especially out west and overseas! We love trying coffee shops we've never been and going out to eat! We have chickens! Spending time in nature and being outside is where we love to be, going on hikes, tent camping, pickleball with friends, and exploring cities together!
We cannot wait to bring a son or daughter on our adventures!
