Jared and Laura

Hello, we are Jared and Laura, and we feel truly honored that you are taking the time to read our profile and learn more about our family. We would love to get to know you too and to build a relationship with you. Your story and your journey matter. Please know that we are praying for you as you navigate your Decision. Our family has already been shaped by adoption in a beautiful way and we have nothing but respect and admiration for parents who choose adoption for their child. We want to share your story and nurture a positive and open relationship around adoption. We are open to whatever you feel comfortable with whether that be visits, pictures, and/or letters.

Jared has two sisters who joined the family through adoption and so adoption is something we talked about even as we were dating. We love being parents and are so thankful for our son Wixom. We would love to welcome another child into our family and very excited about the opportunity to love and nurture them.

We first met at church. Laura worked at the church in Family Ministry, and we were both involved with the praise team and in small groups. We dated for a little over a year before we got engaged, but we both quickly knew while dating that we were made for each other. We have a nerdy dream of owning an A-frame home someday with land where we can see our favorite animal, buffalo.

Jared is full time Graphic Designer and gets to be creative every day. Jared designs book covers and works with libraries to help advertise books. Our lives are full of stories, art and creativity. Jared is also an amazing artist and musician, he selflessly loves others, and he makes great coffee (I never need to go to Starbucks again). Jared also works hard, is a good friend, is a man of God, and is honestly the best person I know. Jared is an amazing dad, the kind of dad who listens and plays, who makes your favorite food when your sick, and who helps with homework. ~ Laura

Laura is very caring, creative, always thinking about what she can do to help others, a great gift giver, and a beautiful singer. Laura loves sharing God’s love as she teaches kids at church. Laura works at the local church as the Family Ministry Director and is always planning something fun for families to do together. Laura is also hilarious, I’m telling you she could have been a stand-up comedian, she brings so much laughter into our lives. Laura has a strong faith, and she loves me and Wixom so well! ~ Jared

Our son Wixom is a little sweetheart. He is kind and snuggly. Wixom has a wild goofy side and makes friends easily. He loves Pokémon, dragons, and hockey. Wix is sensitive and strong and the source of so much joy in our lives. Wixom is so excited about the possibility of being an older brother. We love being his parents and seeing the man of God he is becoming. Faith is the center of our lives. Our relationship with God shapes our decisions and friendships. Knowing Jesus has transformed the way we love and people we are. We both love serving God and raising children in the faith is important to us.

We love being parents. Parenting is such a beautiful part of our lives. In most relationships you get to know someone and through time you begin to love them, but with parenting you love someone and through time you get to know them.
