Open adoption can take on many different forms—pictures and letters, occasional meetings all the way to more frequent meetings— depending on what you and the hopeful adoptive parents discuss and agree upon as to what your relationship will look like after placement.
In the state of Ohio, adoption openness is a gentleman’s agreement. What this means is that you need to be certain that you are working with an ethical agency that trains their adopting parents that openness in adoption is best practice, and to follow through on openness agreements.
Spirit of Faith Adoptions is very serious about training our hopeful adoptive couples about the importance of both.
"We feel so much love for our son's birth mother, and pray for her often. She will forever hold a place in our hearts and be a part of our family." ~adoptive parents
